The Christmas and Advent seasons can be a busy and noisy time. A lot demands our attention. We invite you to take time for yourself, be quiet and reconnect with the sacred. Our congregation sets aside one day in Advent each year to prayerfully reflect on the divine gift of God coming to make God’s home with us in the birth of Jesus. This year, that day is Wednesday, Dec. 6, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the Little Chapel (adjacent to the Centennial Room).
You are welcome to come anytime during the day and remain in prayer as long as you want. Resources will be available for you to use as you pray, or you can pray in your own way. There is no need to sign up.
If you are unable to be present in the Little Chapel on the 6th, you are invited to take a few minutes during the day wherever you are to open yourself to the grace and presence of God who comes in Jesus.
The Advent Prayer Vigil reminds us that we are on the Advent journey together. We are still seeking the blessings of this season: hope, peace, joy, and love – not only for ourselves, but for all.
