Christmas Eve Celebration
December 24, 2020 @ 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Join us on our YouTube channel to sing, pray, light candles, ring bells, hear amazing music and remember wonder.
As this incredible “nothing as usual” 2020 nears its end, on this night we’re fully embracing our “Not church as usual”-ness and coming together for our first ever “virtual” Christmas Eve service. This will be a time to reflect and celebrate once again the great good news of Christmas: “Into our darkness, God’s light beams. Into our lives, God is born.”
Join us at 3:45 for our 15-minute pre-concert that will include marimba, percussion, string quartet, and organ.
Then at 4, worship begins where we’ll sing contemporary music and beloved carols, led by stirring soloists and virtual choirs. We’ll be accompanied throughout the service by marimba and percussion, guitar, string quartet, organ, and a bell choir and we’ll end with our cherished Winnetka Congregational Church tradition of lighting of candles as we sing Silent Night and light Bethlehem’s star.
Gather the family around to watch together. Or if you’re by yourself grab a cup of tea and a cozy blanket and remember that you’re not alone – we’re all together as we watch from wherever we are, and as Christmas reminds us – “God is with us.”
