Lenten Prayer Vigil

March 10, 2021

Our congregation sets aside one day in Lent each year to prayerfully reflect on God’s self-giving in Christ and our own journeys of faith in light of God’s empowering grace expressed in the cross and empty tomb. How am I “undone”? How are we “undone”? How is God “undone” (not done) with us?

We typically invite people to pray in the Little Chapel that day. This year, we ask members of our WCC family to take a few minutes to pray at home – by yourself or with a loved one.  You might even call or Zoom a friend and ask them to pray with you.

The Lenten Prayer Vigil reminds us that we are on the Lenten journey together, even if we are not able to be together in person. We are still seeking the spiritual blessings of the season: insight, calm, courage, commitment, healing, and nearness to God and one another.

Questions: Rev. Jeffrey Phillips, (847) 636-6111.
