Amy comes to WCC with over 25 years in administration, including Associate Dean of Budget and Administration at the prestigious School of the Art Institute of Chicago and, most recently, as the Program Director at the historic Wilmette Theatre.
With a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the renowned Kansas City Art Institute and a Master of Fine Arts, with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, Amy is a recognized artist whose artwork has been exhibited throughout the United States and is part of numerous private collections. You’ll also find her work in the permanent collections at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. As the co-creator and director of Print Project Chicago, a philanthropic collaborative designed to produce Risograph print editions in support of needy organizations that uphold equality regardless of race, gender, or sexual orientation, Amy brings together her passion for equity and inclusion with her love of artistic expression.
Born and raised in the suburbs of Milwaukee, WI, Amy has lived all over the country, but has made roots in Wilmette, IL, since 2009. She lives with her husband, Pedro DeJesus, her two children, Ginger and Walter, two stepchildren, Isabella and Ethan, and her beloved dog, Philly.
