Rev. Jessica R. Palys

Rev. Jessica R. Palys

Interim Associate Pastor

Rev. Jessica Palys came to ministry by way of Community Organizing. Working with faith leaders and congregations of all kinds across Illinois for a fair health care system, immigration reform and economic justice led her to enroll in Chicago Theological Seminary to study the justice and love embedded in God’s holy word.

After 15 years of organizing, she was ordained with the Center for Faith and Community Health Transformation.  Since then, she has led congregations in Hastings, Nebraska and Kansas City, Missouri before coming to Winnetka Congregational Church as the Interim Associate Pastor.  Jessica knows that the same principles that create change through organizing are fundamental in congregational change, especially during interim periods.

Jessica’s life outside of church is run by a demanding toddler and 2 overly loving canines, which at times can feel like 3 toddlers all at once. Although she is loving every minute of it, she sometimes daydreams of the day when she might once again engage her love of reading, pottery, biking, building and home renovation.
