23 Oct We need social media ambassadors – no experience necessary. (Love of cute cat videos optional…)
These days, we have plenty of connectivity, but sometimes, feeling deeply connected to others, to our deepest selves and to God…that seems much harder to come by. We think that’s partly because there are very few places in our world today where we can, where we can be real and vulnerable.
This is the kind of community we are cultivating here at Winnetka Congregational. A community or dress alike, but by the grace of God, we come together and discover we’re not alone.
And…guess what…this is the kind of community that people like your friends and neighbors may need… and really want… to hear more about, now more than ever.
You’ve probably noticed one that of the ways that kind of communication happens most these days is through social media – through our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter posts and shares we tell our friends and neighbors and acquaintances what we’re excited about, share things we’re reading, passing on memes that inspire us or make us laugh, we putting out info about upcoming events and inviting people to come with us.
And one of the ways you can help build community and serve here at Winnetka Congregational Church is by doing that for us and becoming a Social Media Ambassador. It’s a volunteer activity you can do anytime, from wherever you are – and think about it- it’s a great way to feel like the time you spend on social media is going toward a good purpose! (Not that cute cat videos don’t serve a good purpose, but, you know, in addition to that…)
Just fill out the form below to sign up to support the efforts of WCC in reaching others who might be searching for a place to be themselves and part of an open-minded, open-hearted community.
Social Media Ambassador Training will be offered by Tim Schraeder of SmallGood Marketing on Sunday, November 1st online at 11:00 am. You don’t need any previous experience – this short training will show you all you need to know. All ages are welcome to participate.
